Our lawyers have litigated hundreds of appellate cases in their legal careers. Seven lawyers currently with our firm have presented oral argument before the Supreme Court of the United States, either before or during their time here. While at Robbins Russell, our lawyers have a combined record of 15 wins, 4 losses, and 2 split decisions in the cases they have argued in the Supreme Court. Lawyers now at Robbins Russell have, over the span of their careers, argued 51 cases in the Supreme Court of the United States, with 40 wins. We also litigate frequently before the federal courts of appeals and state appellate courts.

Our appellate litigation has involved issues of antitrust, bankruptcy, criminal law, employment discrimination, civil RICO, securities, administrative law, civil rights, environmental law, false claims, sovereign bond default, preemption, federal jurisdiction, and intellectual property, among other fields. Several of our appellate victories have involved nine-figure judgments or more.

Our partners Larry Robbins and Roy Englert are alumni of the Office of the Solicitor General. Our partners Mark Stancil and Donald Burke clerked on the Supreme Court of the United States, and a substantial majority of our lawyers clerked on appellate courts.
