On June 25, 2019, Robbins Russell associate Jessica Arden Ettinger and Kevin Golembiewski, of Berney & Sang LLP, published Advocacy Before the Eleventh Circuit: A Clerk’s Perspective in the University of Miami Law Review. The Article helps practitioners tailor their advocacy to meet the Eleventh Circuit’s norms and expectations. Former Eleventh Circuit law clerks, Ms. Ettinger and Mr. Golembiewski offer their insights on how to craft an effective brief and present a compelling oral argument to the Court, taking into consideration the Court’s caseload, jurisprudence, rules, traditions, and decision-making processes. The Article has already received high praise. Magistrate Judge Edwin G. Torres, of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, lauds it as “well written” and recommends that “[e]very practitioner” heed Ms. Ettinger and Mr. Golembiewski’s advice.
